Pink on Parade’s Classic Car Show

Pink on Parade’s first-ever classic car show was held on October 15! People from all over the Inland Empire and surrounding areas brought their classic cars from 1940s – 1970s. We had some friendly competition, all in good fun, to raise awareness of breast cancer. Check out the winners in each category below!

Pink in Parade is Riverside’s annual breast cancer awareness walk. A new element of fun will be added to this year’s event— the Pink on Parade Classic Car Show! This is a classic car show guaranteed to take you down memory lane! Sounding the Alarm for More Rest

Have you heard the theory of “John Henryism”?

Social epidemiologist, Dr. Sherman James is the originator of the theory, which suggests that the prolonged “high-effort coping” (which is defined as “sustained cognitive and emotional engagement” of adversity, including adversity caused by structural racism, such as the loss of a job or being passed over for a promotion), contributes to the well-known high risk for hypertension and cardiovascular disease in Black Americans.
